CONNECTING PEOPLE TO PEOPLE

Why is designing for community important?

"Community connectedness is not just about warm fuzzy tales of civic triumph. In measurable and well-documented ways, social capital makes an enormous difference in our lives...Social capital makes us smarter, healthier, safer, richer, and better able to govern a just and stable democracy."

― Robert D. Putnam, Bowling Alone: The Collapse and Revival of American Community

Philosophy

Vibrant, active and connected communities provide the basic framework that supports a more sustainable, equitable and peaceful world. J. P. Kalmon believes that by connecting people to the benefits of thriving communities, those benefits are extended throughout our larger society. We endeavor to give people access to those benefits by the creation of better communities through efficient and affordable means.

Professional Services

Working with professionals
We specialize in the processes that help get community groups organized. Early stage strategic planning and efficient use of the group's time and resources are essential to their success. Our assistance can greatly enhance the likelihood of that success. We provide the guidance needed for groups to establish a well-defined vision. That vision is then developed by a professional team through processes that navigate the complexities and nuances required to craft places rich in social, environmental and economic amenity.
