Historic Loft

Hudson, Wisconsin

In it's over 150 years of service, and as one of Hudson's most historic structures, this inviting, stone and brick building has seen many uses over time. The current owners operate a small boutique on the street level and were looking to convert the open upper level into their private residence. Many unique and eclectic features describe this collection of open, spacious rooms. The street level foyer opens to the alley and includes a multi-function "wine cellar" for entertainment and guest quarters. The upper level is accessed via a circular elevator wrapped with a maple spiral stair. The open upper level contains a master suite as well as a kitchen, dining, living and a small study nook. A linear series of outdoor spaces overlooks the St. Croix River and includes a deck, covered porch, and a glass conservatory.
